New rat monoclonal c-Fos antibody - even the best can do better
  • c-Fos is rapidly and transiently induced by different extracellular stimuli such as growth factors, cytokines, neurotransmitters, hormones and stress. The expression of this protein is often used as marker for neuronal activity. Synaptic Systems offers the very well-received polyclonal rabbit and Guinea pig antibodies against this target, but now we have developed a rat monoclonal antibody against c-Fos. This antibody combines the advantage of extreme low batch-to-batch variation with excellent results in ICC, IHC and IHC-P (FFPE) applications. The first 50 mails to marketing@sysy.com can receive a free trial size sample of this antibody (excluding transport).
Indirect immunostaining of PFA fixed mouse hippocampus section with rat anti-c-Fos (cat. no.: 226 017, dilution 1:5000; red). Nuclei have ben visualized by DAPI staining (blue).
New Polyclonal Guinea pig antibody against Galanin- superior performance in IHC and IHC-P (FFPE) applications
  • Galanin, also referred to as Gal or Galn, is a 30 amino acid neuropeptide (29 in rodents) that has a widespread presence in the periphery and the central nervous system, including brain, spinal cord and gastrointestinal tract. It has been implicated in many biologically diverse functions including arousal/sleep regulation, hypoxia, nociception, cognition, feeding, reproduction, osmotic homeostasis, glucose metabolism and regulation of mood. Several human diseases have been implicated with disturbances in the galaninergic system, e.g. Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes mellitus and mood disorders.
Indirect immunostaining of PFA fixed mouse brain section (hypothalamus) with Guinea pig anti-Galanin (cat. no.: 446 004, dilution 1:500; red). Nuclei have been visualized by DAPI staining (blue).
Again we have increased our portfolio of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies, species-switched from well-known mouse monoclonals.
And last, but not least, the rabbit polyclonal antibody against Glyine receptor alpha1 (GlyR1alpha).
