Occludin is a 65 kDa protein that plays a role in formation and regulation of the tight junction paracellular permeability barrier. It is mainly found at tight junctions of both epithelial and endothelial cells. In the brain occludin can be used as marker for vascular endothelial cells. We now offer you a new polyclonal Guinea pig antibody against occludin that shows excellent results in WB, ICC, IHC and IHC-P (FFPE) applications.

Indirect immunostaining of PFA-fixed endothelial cells in mouse brain section with polyclonal Guinea pig anti-occludin (cat.no. 447 005, dilution 1:500; red). Nuclei have been visualized by DAPI staining (blue).

Knock-out the uncertainty

With great suppport and help of our customers, more than 250 of our primary antibodies have been knock-out validated, so far. We are proud on this number and strife to continiously increase it. Testing on Knock-out (KO) samples is the gold standard of antibody validation and gives you certainty about your results.
One of the newest members in our "KO-club" are our antibodies against GFAP, e.g. the rabbit monoclonal anti-GFAP antibody.
